With a customer service orientation, accurately perform assigned portions of telephone answering, appointment scheduling, and verification of insurance benefits.

Key Responsibilities Responds to incoming phones calls for all sites promptly and in an exceptional quality manner Appropriately schedules patient appointments based on physician guidelines- includes faxed and telephone referrals via Par80, and New Submission requests Maintains strong knowledge of all site protocols and physician schedules/changes to ensure appropriate information is provided to patients Clearly and concisely documents every patient request and pertinent information via ModMed so that practice can successfully respond to patient needs Through appropriate call control, ensures that calls are handled efficiently to attain daily call production goals.
Performs real-time eligibility during appointment calls Ensures all faxes are cleared off the machine and distributed/processed throughout the day Sorts incoming reports and directs to appropriate person Facilitates any physician or manager requests throughout the day Maintains and respects the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with company policy & procedure, and HIPAA & compliance guidelines Shared Duties/Other Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions Attends all regular staff meetings and continuing education sessions as required Speaks with a pleasant speaking voice and demeanor Presents professional image in manner, appearance, motivation and work habits Maintains regular attendance Performs other duties as assigned Academic/Technical Qualifications HS diploma or GED equivalent Basic computer knowledge mandatory- comfortable using email and interacting with internet applications Industry Experience Prefer two years of current work experience as a Call Center rep in a medical practice Two years' experience in verifying insurances Knowledge of practice management and word processing software Communication Skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and others A committed and result-driven attitude to work as a high ethical and professional standard.
