Position
Summary:
The Claims Processor is responsible for receiving incoming claims from our field staff and verifying the accuracy of the claims data before submitting the claims to our Claims Processing Team for review and approval.
This position will also help to resolve issues that may arise from the operation of our claims processing system.
Responsibilities:
Receive incoming claims from field staff and verify the accuracy of the claims data before submitting the claims to our Claims Processing Team for review and approval.
Review all incoming claims to ensure that all details are correct and that all identifying information is removed before submission.
Resolve open claims by verifying and replacing missing information; making sure all information is correct and no open claims are left without attention.
Utilize the Open Claims system to review all open claims to ensure that all information is removed and closed before submission to our Claims Processing Team for review and approval.
Manage open claim time efficiently by utilizing a prioritized system to work through open claim issues; ensuring that all information is removed and closed before submission to our Claims Processing Team for review and approval.
Maintain good communication with team members, customer service departments, auditors, attorneys, etc.
in an effort to resolve issues that may arise from the operation of this system.
Skills & Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong can-do attitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
